Specialities

“When the “I” is replaced by the “WE”, the Illness becomes Wellness” – Shannon L. Alder.

My goal is to provide strategies, tools and techniques to help you build resilience in your every day life.

Anxiety Counselling

Are you struggling with anxiety, constant worry, overthinking, or nervousness? Do you experience physical symptoms such as a racing heart, restlessness, muscle tension, sweaty palms, or tight shoulders?

Through anxiety counselling, we work together to help you better understand your anxiety and develop tools to manage it more effectively. Therapy can support you in feeling calmer, more present, and more grounded in daily life. Our work may also help improve relationships, self-confidence, and emotional regulation.

My approach focuses on helping clients recognize that you are not your anxiety. With compassionate, evidence-based support, you can learn skills to reduce anxiety symptoms and build a stronger sense of control and resilience.

Depression Counselling

Are you feeling low, fatigued, or emotionally drained? Have you lost interest in activities you once enjoyed, noticed changes in sleep or appetite, or found it difficult to stay motivated?

Depression counselling offers a supportive space to explore these experiences and regain a sense of connection, meaning, and balance. Living with depression can feel overwhelming and isolating, making even simple tasks feel difficult.

I offer compassionate support to help you navigate this challenging time, gently explore what you’re experiencing, and work toward rebuilding purpose, hope, and emotional well-being at a pace that feels right for you.

Trauma Therapy

Have you experienced one or multiple traumatic events that continue to affect your daily life? Do you feel constantly on edge, emotionally numb, disconnected, or experience unexplained physical symptoms?

Trauma therapy recognizes that trauma is often stored in the body and nervous system. When safety has been disrupted, the brain may remain in a heightened state of alert, making it difficult to relax or feel secure.

I work with clients using trauma-informed, compassionate approaches that prioritize emotional safety and nervous system regulation. Therapy focuses on helping you feel grounded and supported before moving forward with deeper healing work, always at your own pace.

Mental Health Support for Refugees

Have you experienced displacement, forced migration, or resettlement and feel overwhelmed by loss, uncertainty, or cultural adjustment? Are you struggling with memories of trauma, grief, stress, or a sense of not belonging in a new country?

The refugee experience can be emotionally complex and deeply exhausting. Navigating trauma, loss, identity changes, and resettlement challenges at the same time can feel isolating.

I offer culturally sensitive, trauma-informed therapy for refugees, providing a safe and respectful space where your experiences are honoured. Using collaborative and compassionate approaches, therapy supports emotional processing, resilience-building, and the development of coping strategies to help restore stability, safety, and a sense of belonging.

Children’s Therapy & Parent Support

Is your child or teen having difficulty managing emotions, behaviour, or focus at school? Are they experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD-related challenges, low self-esteem, self-critical thoughts, or harmful behaviours? Are you finding it difficult to maintain a nurturing, connected relationship with your child?

Children’s therapy supports emotional development while also strengthening the parent–child relationship. I work collaboratively with parents and children to improve communication, emotional regulation, and connection.

As the relationship between parent and child strengthens, families often notice positive changes in a child’s emotions, behaviour, and overall well-being. Therapy provides practical tools and a supportive environment to help both children and parents feel more confident and connected.
